US Health Care System
US Market Based heath care rely more on private and non-profit health insurance, which has been the major source of coverage for most Americans. According to a survey, 84% of Americans have health care insurance; 60% obtain it thru their employer while 9% purchase it directly. Lots of government agencies provide coverage to about a third of Americans. Last 2006, 47 million Americans don’t have health insurance for at least part of the year. Non-Elderly Americans who doesn’t have insurance dramatically increased since 2000. There has been debates going on in the US about the possible causes and remedies for this level of uninsurance.
